Jennifer Lopez Is Not Engaged

Thus far, Jennifer Lopez and her twenty-five-year-old boyfriend Casper Smart have continually defied the odds and remained together despite the age different and rebound quality of their relationship. What many assumed initially was a harmless, get-over-her-husband fling has evolved into by all accounts, a serious and apparently fulfilling relationship. Where it might go from here is unclear, but if you’ve heard rumors of an engagement, those are definitely false. 

So says JLo herself in a new snappy post on her personal website. The whispers began spiraling out of control earlier this week after the singer was spotted with a suspicious ring on her finger. The hoopla was then furthered by a fake tweet from a fashion designer’s account, but all involved are now denying the barely six-month-old relationship is anything more than boyfriend/ girlfriend at this juncture. 

The musician’s fans seem to be slowly warming up to professional dancer Smart, but I’m pretty sure a good percentage of them would die from shock if Jenny From The Block was suddenly getting married to a man barely half her age. Besides, she has more important issues to worry about now in the form of whether or not she’ll return to American Idol next season. 

I’d be very surprised if an engagement came anytime within the next year, but if it does, I can promise you we will cover it repeatedly and from a bevy of angles.
